I was born with the natural psychic ability known as claircognizance, which means "clear thinking." The way it would work is that I would have a thought pop into my head that felt different from other thoughts. Within a few seconds to a minute, something would come true regarding that thought. A recent example is that I was getting dressed in the band hall of my high school, getting ready for a play. As I was walking by, one of those thoughts poked my brain. I looked down and there was a blue hairclip on the floor that I'd seen, but with all of other dressing stuff lying around, I hadn't really cared about it before. But something about it, and looking at it, just struck a cord in my mind. I picked it up and put in my pocket, thinking that one of my props that was backstage of the theatre may not have its hairclip for some reason. Sure enough, after the first scene I got to go backstage and look at my prop (a set of angel wings and a halo) and the hairclip we needed to keep the halo on my head was not there. My heart pounded in my chest as I thanked whatever spirit guide or angel that alerted me to this, or we might have been in trouble if no one had noticed it before it was time for that scene.
As I crossed into my preteen years, I was allowed access to the internet and bookstores, and I have gathered a nice collection of books on magick, shamanism, hypnosis, meditation, Reiki, energy healing, spirit guides, angels, and, of course, psychic development. I have read through these books and have learned the values of simple meditation, self-hypnosis, and visualization - because with the right technique, I have developed a very accurate clairvoyant ability. My goals in psychic development are to learn to develop and harness clairaudience (clear hearing, or the hearing of the voices of spirits) and to develop mediumship abilities.
I have also gathered a large collection of oracle cards by Doreen Virtue, Sonia Choquette, and John Holland. I have even taken over 150 notecards and developed my own oracle cards. I use any of them that I feel may be beneficial in a reading. When I first realized I had a decent knack at clairvoyant reading, I wondered if I would just stop using my cards. On the contrary - since starting college, I have found that using the cards is IMMENSELY convenient. The reason is that I'm not always in a quiet room with few people where I can focus and easily enter a deep meditative state required for very accurate clairvoyant reading & healing. When I use my cards, I do not need any of that. I surrender the cards to a higher power, such as Source, spirit guides, guardian angels, or the higher self of the person I am reading. THEY do the work in picking the cards. I merely discuss their meanings, then allow any inspirational thoughts to come through. I have a 95% rating in picking up on something very relevant to the readee, and they can understand about 85% of what comes through. I'm not Lisa Williams - I don't have someone talking into my ear telling me what to say. My point is, using my cards is very easy and simple - that is why it is the cheapest type of reading I offer.
Besides being psychic, I am a Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. Reiki has origins as far back as Tibet over 2000 years ago - but its modern heritage comes from Dr. Mikao Usui's life in Japan more than one hundred years ago. The story has many versions and no one can confirm one over the other. The point is, a man was connected by a spiritual being of some kind to an intelligent healing energy. He learned how to pass this connection on to others - starting the literally thousands of offshoots of Reiki. This healing energy helps to cleanse, balance, and heal the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person and can be done by laying the healer's hands upon the client, or sending the energy from any distance or time using special symbols or chants. I have learned to use both psychic healing techniques and Reiki for a very powerful effect.
